August 16, 2021 – Historic Win Against FCC on 5G & Wireless Health Guidelines
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit court ruled the Federal Communications Commission must provide a reasoned explanation for its determination that its current guidelines adequately protect against harmful effects of exposure to radio frequency radiation.

August 2, 2021 – OHA’s Deceitful Report on Wireless Harm to Kids
Oregon Senate Bill SB283 directed the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) to review independent scientific studies in peer-reviewed journals about harmful effects of Wi-Fi and other wireless devices on humans, with special attention to possible harm to children in schools. Unfortunately, the design and implementation of the review and the final report were sham efforts riddled with scientific misconduct and industry-friendly corruption. Details about the serious omissions, misinformation, flaws, and unscientific conclusions in the OHA report are covered in a May 24, 2021 article in The Washington Spectator. The first draft of the OHA report cited many harmful pathways to children and teachers from chronic exposure to wireless devices. That draft was edited to remove the evidence of harm and was not provided in a FOIA request for all drafts of the OHA report. OHA committed a crime by suppressing the release of this first draft, which was subsequently obtained from an OHA employee.
The author of The Washington-Spectator article, Dan Forbes, met with Senator Dembrow, who suggested holding a senate hearing with the OHA and those who have uncovered the OHA corruption. Sixty-eight organizations representing more than 1 million people signed onto an amicus brief in support of Children’s Health Defense’s (CHD) lawsuit challenging the Federal Communication Commission’s (FCC) “Over-the-Air Reception Devices” (OTARD) Rule Amendment. The amicus was filed June 30, in the U.S. Court of Appeals, District of Columbia Circuit. CHD filed its main brief on June 23.
An amicus brief is filed by non-parties to a litigation to provide information that has a bearing on the issues and assist the court in reaching the correct decision. It comes from the Latin words amici curiae, which means “friend of the court.”
The OTARD amendment, which took effect March 29, enables the installation of base station antennas, including 5G, on private property and homes, while preempting all state and zoning laws, homeowners’ association and deed restrictions. It also preempts civil rights and disability laws that protect the disabled.
According to the amicus brief, “The Commission refused to acknowledge significant policy, legal and practical problems.”

Two of their members have accepted to serve on 5G Free Oregon Board. With more than 2000 studies and articles already published on wireless radiation, and new ones regularly coming in, revealing the depth of harm against humans and the environment, it is paramount that Oregonians unite to work as a team.

In response to sporadic public outcry over cell tower placement, City officials have repeatedly said, “our hands are tied” citing “legal limitations” within the Telecommunications Act. Campanelli’s report explicitly dispels that notion saying it is untrue. Campanelli faults the Office of Community Technology for embracing “erroneous and misguided interpretations of the law”. “The City has no idea the extent to which it may exercise its authority to control the placement of wireless facilities and clearly lacks a basic understanding of the 1996 Telecommunications Act.”
